Shanda
Hi y’all! I’m Shanda, born and raised in Owensboro. I’ve spent my career in and around the business side of medical imaging and the world of technology that reveals what’s happening inside us. That’s how I met my business partner Tim (be sure to check out his Northeast Ohio page!). But I guess you can say that my love of images started way before MRIs, pathology slides and ultrasound. I think that started when I began rescuing family photos by taking Mom’s 110 away from her. She had this knack for taking photos where people’s heads were cut off – every single time. So, when that first batch of photos that I took came back from the developer and we had a picture where you could see Dad’s head – BOOM, I was hooked! My love of photography only grew with my own first camera – a pink Le Clic! – as I took photos of my friends in middle school. But today, I’m not even sure where some of those middle school pictures went to and I am totally ashamed of how many photos I’ve taken and not even processed! I suspect I am not the only one like this. And this is why bringing Shrunk 3D home was important to me, and to Tim too. We loved being able to capture what’s happening around us: the laughter, the milestones, the stories worth telling, but freezing them in a way that doesn’t get lost in digital clutter! These 3D figures sit proudly on a shelf, a desk, or the kitchen window ledge – a conversation piece that tells folks, "this mattered" and starts a great exchange of memories. That’s why I love what we do and excited to bring it home. From celebrating corporate wins, to country weddings or ball field victories, I want to help you turn your favorite moments into keepsakes you’ll actually see and will spark the sharing of your great story.
